Quartabe - Repescagem

Quartabe's "Repescagem" is a vibrant dive into the musical world of Dorival Caymmi, reimagining his iconic melodies, harmonies, and bass lines with their own experimental twist. 

The album features seven tracks, including three playful variations of "Quem Vem pra Beira do Mar," where the band swaps their usual instruments for nylon-string guitars and rich vocal harmonies-a nod to Caymmi's timeless style.

With a mix of genres like reggae, eurodance, and samba jazz, the album also sprinkles in influences from Dalva de Oliveira and Dona Ivone Lara, making this release a fun, eclectic celebration of Brazilian music.
